Another Person of Interest selection, "Live with me is a haunting track that is pretty self-explanatory, especially in the video. Most of us have faced severe heartbreak, and while most of us don't deal with that sadness very well for a time, others get lost in the misery.

While the video shows a woman who has become a self-destructive alcoholic that literally takes the downward spiral and Person of Interest uses a flashback where Reese chose career over love, I recall how I dealt with grief during the destructions and subsequent aftermath of my first marriage. Over 7,500 miles and 45 days separated my ex-wife and me before I could return to the US, and then it was another few months before I saw her to no avail. Soon after, I was divorced and alone with no idea how to mourn.

My solace wasn't in the bottle or in the bed of others. Instead, my version of "Live With Me" was to completely withdraw and close myself off from intimacy of any sort. I refused to date, hated being out, and I just wanted to bury myself in work to escape the pain of a shredded heart. It was my equivalent of being black-out drunk for months since I am such the silver linings extrovert.

Eventually, with the support of a few good friends and the Airmen I worked with, I recovered to move on and live a happier life with a wife and children I would do anything for. Still, a part of my heart was destroyed during that time. At times, I think back to that night in the Arabian desert after the fateful phone call or the first time I walked into my base house alone, or the drive to the courthouse where everything came to an end. In those moments reliving my past, I get lost in the lyrics:

It don't matter when you turn Gonna survive You live and learn I've been thinking about you, baby By the light of dawn

A midnight blue, day and night I've been missing you I've been thinking about you, baby Almost makes me crazy Come and live with me

My advice if you are in a state of "Live With Me": Tend to your sorrow but don't lose yourself in the process.
